Precipitated barium sulfate is pure white and flawless, with a density of 4.3 g/cm³ and a Mohs hardness of 3.0. It features a high refractive index (1.64), chemical inertness, and excellent dispersibility, along with outstanding light stability, providing whitening and shielding properties to materials.
Precipitated barium sulfate is widely used as a filler in powder coatings, industrial paints, engineering plastics, storage batteries, enamels, leather industry, printing and dyeing industry, printing ink, plastic materials, and photosensitive papers. It can also be successfully applied in adhesives, coatings, and sealants.
